Fr. Fessio on CAL 3/27
What an excellent hour this was, several topics were covered but what prompted this post was Father Fessio's response to a gentleman who asked, basically, why does God allow pain? Father Fessio's answer is well worth hearing--here is a link to the page with the podcast.

I've been dealing with some physical pain lately & my biggest hope was that I could bear this pain, without complaining, without wearing a "woe is me" face & make God proud of me. I think I did OK.. I have bone on bone arthritis in my knee & haven't been able to have surgery yet because I'm on blood thinner........for one more month. The idea that I could please God with this....made it easy. My only concession was a cane (a very fashionable

Convert, thank you for posting the link to the Fr Fessio programme; I missed that one and coincidentially was having a discussion with my son as to "why a good God permits innocents to suffer?".
