Post count doesn't seem to be working

Hi, can someone help me on this? I posted all day yesterday but the count didn't go up much at all. Is there a way to check on if my posts are being counted correctly?
I was one the forum from around 2pm to after 10pm. It seems to get stuck at post 867 for many hours. Suddenly around ten pm, it went to 868 I believe. Can anyone advise?
The "Top Poster" area listed me as having 49 posts, but this is not reflected in the count when I would make a new post. I may have had many more over 49, but can't tell.
