How to ADD photos to group photo album

Hi there everyone! I thought I'd added three photos successfully to my photo album in my new group. A message said that they were "added successfully," and for a moment, I was able to view them. Then they just disappeared. Is there an easy way to ADD photos to a present album? I don't want to delete any, just add some to the existing album, and keep the album cover the same. Thank you so much for any advice.
