Please pray for Chuck Colson

Please pray for the late Chuck Colson, Watergate conspirator(who once said "[i] would walk over the body of my grandmother to get President Nixon reelected") and latterly born again Christian.
As with the late William F.Buckley(who before his death apologized for his magazine- The National Review_ for its notoriously unsympathetic attitude to the Civil Rights movement )we must hope and pray that God will be merciful to him for whatever sins he has committed in his lifetime through human frailty.

Happy to pray for Chuck Coleson. I loved him, and even though he had a long life which became very fruitful for God, I feel like the Christian community has lost someone so dear to us, someone so in love with the Lord. We'll all miss him. Bless you for prompting prayers for him

Although this quote was often used to vilify Colson, he always denied ever saying anything remotely like it.

I thought he was a great guy. I also had a sneaky suspicion that he wanted to become a Catholic. But if he had done that many Evangelicals would have regarded him a traitor and reject his message. Thus he may have been better remaining a nonCatholic.
But I was hoping he would cross the Tiber anyway.
