Temptations are not sins. Speak to your priest if you have more questions. Your priest is your best resource for questions like this. We cannot help you anywhere near enough from forum-land. Your IRL priest can counsel you if it isn't a sin and absolve you if it is.

Re: Should i Confess this?? Is it a mortal sin?
I always play it on the safe side and confess. My confessor talks to me about it if he doesn't feel it was a sin - mortal or otherwise. However, bringing it up in confession keeps my thoughts pointed in the right direction.
God bless,
Bryan

Re: Should i Confess this?? Is it a mortal sin?
As per the catechism:
Quote:
2302 By recalling the commandment, "You shall not kill," our Lord asked for peace of heart and denounced murderous anger and hatred as immoral.
Anger is a desire for revenge. "To desire vengeance in order to do evil to someone who should be punished is illicit," but it is praiseworthy to impose restitution "to correct vices and maintain justice."
If anger reaches the point of a deliberate desire to kill or seriously wound a neighbor, it is gravely against charity; it is a mortal sin. The Lord says, "Everyone who is angry with his brother shall be liable to judgment."
|
The big question here is: did you deliberately desire to see your brother dead or did you fight this thought off once you realized the nature of what you were thinking about?
The former would likely be mortal, but the latter likely wouldn't be...
Doesn't hurt to bring this up with your priest, though...
