Re: Meet and Greet # 87
Hey! Thanks for my admittance into the group. I'm looking for bible verses to help in times of being torn between the right way and a addiction I'm currently dealing with, mostly alcohol.

Re: Meet and Greet # 87
Hey everyone,
I saw this website about a year ago when I was looking for some answers to a few questions I had. I found it really helpful and I decided to become a member. I've been a Catholic my whole life but it's only really in the past year and a half that I have been active in my faith. Excited to get a better knowledge.

Re: Meet and Greet # 87
Hello! I have been a regular reader here for awhile, but haven't made an account until today. I was raised in a devout Evangelical Christian family, but have been on the road to Rome for the past 7 years now. My husband was previously married and we have been unable to obtain the paperwork needed for an annulment, so we are not united sacramentally with the church. That is why I put "Half-way Catholic" in the religion box. Thanks for the welcome.

Re: Meet and Greet # 87
Hello there!
Baptized/Confirmed into the Catholic faith Easter 2011 after a long road of different religions, life, and etc. I took my first RCIA class for my daughter to be baptized. After she was, I took RCIA again for myself. Basically my whole life can be summed up as "been there, done that".
I'm open to anything and everything here

Re: Meet and Greet # 87
Hello and thanks for the welcome!
I have been listening to Catholic Radio for about a year and tuning in to EWTN. I decided to get involved with Catholic Answers so I can learn more.
I was married in the Church to my Catholic wife and we are raising out daughters Catholic. I have felt a void in my life due to not being able to receive the eucharist and recently decided to convert through RCIA in September.
I am fortunate for being raised Lutheran and my mother's love which instilled in me a commitment to religion throughout my life.
I look forward to the future and my path to receive the eucharist as a Catholic.
Kind regards to all!

Re: Meet and Greet # 87
Hi! I thought this would be a good place to find catholic support and maybe a few answers to questions that have been troubling me over the last several years. I was babtized catholic as an infant and have been catholic my entire life. I'm not real good about going to mass but i do attend once or twice a month. Anyway, I figured this might be a good place to find people like myself.

Re: Meet and Greet # 87
Hello everyone! I've been brought up catholic, but my family stopped going to church for many years, so I had fallen out as a catholic. I always had wanted to go back, but through laziness and silly beliefs, I never went back. In my younger years, I just started assuming that most people that went to church were hypocrites that judged other people simply because other people don't think like they do, but now I've started to realize that not everyone is like that and that the catholic community can be very welcoming if you give it a chance.
The absence of God in my life made me do improper things that quite simply lead me to a depression. I wasn't feeling good about myself, or anything really. I'm still at that age where I'm trying to figure out what I want to do with my life and found that going back to church and learning about Christ and his teachings provide me with a good pathway to better find myself and what I want to do with my life and that no matter how many mistakes I make along the way, there is something out there that is always going to guide me correctly and love me unconditionally.
I feel more than ever that my life truly does have meaning and that every mistake I make only makes me a better person if I learn from them and most importantly: God will always be by my side through the good and the bad.
And with that, I say hello to fellow Christians and hope you will enjoy my presence in these forums.

By the way...this is not a question and answer thread so please do not post questions in this thread, as they will generally go unanswered.
This is merely where you introduce yourself to the community.
p.s., Want to start a new conversation ("thread") or ask a question? Here's how it's done: - Find a forum that covers your topic. There's a list on CAF's home page.
- Enter the forum by clicking its name. You'll then see a list of conversations or topics (called "threads" in forum-speak).
- Look for the "New Thread" button at the top of this list. Click it to start your own topic.
- You will then see a standard text editor. Just enter a title and a description of what you want to talk about. Click "submit" and you're all done.
p.p.s, the earlier Meet and Greet #86 is located here.
