Lie reveal
if I lie but an hour after I reveal my lie and I apologize because I'm sorry. Do I keep the sin and do I have to confess it?

Re: Lie reveal
Of course. If you steal but give it back later, same thing. Sin is sin. Remember confession involves repentance, confession, will to not do it again, and penance and or reparations. Just because you did some reparations before you went to confession does not mean that you can just take care of it yourself.
What if the lie was that a bridge was safe. Then later you admit it wasn't? Still a sin.

If you lie, you SHOULD reveal your lie before you seek to confess it unless you feel it would be harmful to do so, in which case you would ask a priest for advice.

Re: Lie reveal
Do you mind a variance in the question?
If you don't mind, I have this question: Is a lie to tell a truth a lie such as in teasing, or telling a joke?

If your intent is not to deceive, and all parties are aware that you are telling a joke - if the teasing is in fun, and playful, with no intent to injure then there would be no intent to sin.
There would be no sin.
