What are you doing for our Lady this month of May?
I'm resuming the daily recital of the Rosary, had let it slip. What types of devotions are people doing this May in honor of our Lady?

The Rosary.
The Brown Scapular and prayer.
The Miraculous Medal and prayer.
The Hail Mary, the Memorare, O Mary Conceived Without Sin, Pray For Us That have Recourse To Thee, all day, all night, in my sleep, all the time I'm awake, everyday.

Re: What are you doing for our Lady this month of May?
I will play Mary songs instead of whatever boring hymns they give me to play, for the 8 AM Mass during the month. At least two of them, probably three.
Every year little old ladies come and ask if I'll play Mary songs. We won't let them down.
In case you want to see me play, here I am practicing Alleluia! Alleluia! Let the Holy Anthem Rise! Maybe I'll go record a Mary hymn and bring it back to this thread!

Re: What are you doing for our Lady this month of May?
I already pray the Rosary daily and I wear a Fivefold Scapular which includes the Brown Scapular as part of it. I am mainly going to try to increase my devotion to the Blessed Mother. Maybe instead of praying the Rosary once a day I'll start praying it twice a day, morning and night instead of just at nights or whenever I get around to it as it is currently. I do pray the Rosary once a day as part of the scapular promise but I pray it whenever I get the urge to do so.

Re: What are you doing for our Lady this month of May?
I like you wear the Brown Scapular and say the Rosary each day. I think I will concentrate on reading some spiritual books about Mary which I have on my Kindle.
Also, the parish we belong to is having a May Crowning this Sunday after the Latin Mass in the afternoon (which we attend).
Sad times---Father explained in the bulletin that crowning Mary was okay! We had May Crownings every year before Vatican II and it was a big deal. It usually took place on a Sunday afternoon (after the First Communicants) so they marched and I believe so did the Knights of Columbus, and our whole school had to attend, standing room only.
I believe we might have a less sinful country if this and the daily Rosary were revived.

Why sad times if I may ask? Because Father had to explian it?

Re: What are you doing for our Lady this month of May?
I plan to renew my efforts to pray the Rosary daily. I pray 4-5 times a week, but I want to focus a little more this month.
I'm also going to take extra time to talk to my mother on the phone (we live in different states).
God bless,
Bryan

Because Father had to explain it, that it had nothing to do with idolatry. He never would have had to do that in prior times because every parish had a May Crowning.

Re: What are you doing for our Lady this month of May?
I am praying the rosary, praying to Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and am inquiring about enrolling in the confraternity of the brown scapular, as I am feeling very drawn to this devotion. I just emailed a local Carmelite monestary with my inquiry.

Re: What are you doing for our Lady this month of May?
That's a good question. I don't know, since I'm already praying the Rosary daily and going to daily Mass. Perhaps try to talk to Our Lady more and ask for her prayers.
