Default Temptations Now and Then

Do you think we have more temptations to sin now, in this time, then people had 2 thousand years ago?

imo i think we do. Having all this technology, namely the internet, at my fingertips can be a problem when it comes to living a holy life.

Discuss!

Agreed! Especially TV. It all depends what you are tempted to do, but it can all be bad. My problem with TV isn't necessarily that it tempts me (don't get me wrong it tempted me a lot, but now I just stick to my dvds of Three's Company and the Golden Girls.) but that it leads people to believe certain behaviors are normal. My sister in law loves Pretty Little Liars and I think it's awful to encourage young girls to lie so that life goes by smoothly. Christian themed stories just don't sell in todays world

It all balances out, IMO. There is nothing new under the sun.

I think we still have the same temptations as we did a 1000 years ago, but there more of it now, and its more easy to sin these days

The great missionary and speaker Marino Restrepo said that in his mystical vision, Christ told him that there has never been a time in the world's history when a soul was at greater risk of going to hell.

The temptations have not changed or grown more numerous, the opportunity to sin has increased greatly though.

I think it evens. It is easier to sin now with mass media and internet on your phone etc. But now we are more informed about sin and we have much better access to priests and other christians.
