My bigger concern though (cause I really don't know much about Mormonism) is how IVF is not just about having your own biological child now. They do all kinds of pre-implantation testing for genetic disease (and do test for gender) and only implant the healthy, perfect embryos. So it isn't just "extra" embryos that get frozen. The embryos that don't pass the testing all get destroyed.

And of course, most practitioners now do "selective reduction" - even for twins. It is just so sad. and worse that most people don't see any of this as sinful.
I know. These scientific developments have truly served to further undermine the dignity of the human person, treating people as commodities. It's unfortunate that this dimension of the fight for life is often not addressed.
