Default A 1-Post Thread to "Advertise" a Post in another Sub-Forum?

I want one of my threads to get more attention because I think that where it is it is not drawing the target audience. So may I post in other sub-forums a 1-post thread to "advertise" for my thread?

If you're not attracting your target audience, just open a new thread in the appropriate subforum or ask the moderator to move the thread to the best subforum.
