Confused
I'm having a hard time with some of the features here, like the message limits. I only can keep 5 messages in my inbox. I don't understand. How can I save a message and delete it so I can have room? I really don't understand why you put a limit to 5. I have a bad memory and may need to save certain info on my messages. What can I do?

Re: Confused
Welcome to the forum!
It's only during your 'Trial Membership' that your inbox is limited to 5. I think that changes after you have been a member for a month or so. You can send a message to ask for sure to the admins.

Re: Confused
As Ophelia mentioned, the storage limits on your mail box will increase as your membership level increases. This is a function of the length of time you've been a member and the number of posts you have made. At this point, I think you have been a CAF member long enough to advance, however, you haven't made enough posts. You just need to be more chatty!
One way to deal with the size of your mail box is to download the messages to your computer, and then erase them from CAF. You can download your messages by scrolling to the bottom to the mail box. You will see the statement
Quote:
Download all Private Messages as:
XML | CSV | Text
|
You need to select which form you want your messages to download as. Text is the simplest form, but not always the best, depending upon your document reader, e.g. Notepad, Wordpad, Microsoft Word, Open Office, etc

Re: Confused
Thanks. I sent another email to the staff. They're going to get tired of me asking questions because I don't know how to navigate the links they refer me to. I knew it had something to do with my trial membership, but I wasn't sure. I hope staff will forgive me for being so "forum illiterate."

Re: Confused
You are always welcome to post your questions here. A hundred or more CAF members read these threads daily and chances are good that someone can help clear things up for you. And, because there are so many of us, we will never lose patience!
