Christian Democracy
I have read that posts for or against specific candidates are forbidden. But I would like to start a thread that argues for the formation of a Catholic voting bloc. I anticipate that I would provide links to other websites in furtherance of that goal, the material of which might be created by me.
My proposal is largely non-partisan, in the sense that it doesn't favor one political party over another. There is, however, a Christian Democratic Party forming in Virginia that I might reference favorably.
Would any of this be against forum rules?

Well, before I talk about it, I want to get a green light from the moderators.

I am not a moderator, but since political discussions are limited to the two news forums, perhaps if you can find a current news article regarding a Christian Democrat party in another country, particularly regarding its challenges and successes, that article would provide the opportunity to discuss the formation of one in the US.

Isn't this where you get authoritative ups or downs on proposed postings?

Yes, but unfortunately the moderators are stretched thin by their regular duties. They do stop by here from time to time, but when they will do so is hard to predict.
Another option would be to determine which forum you would like to post your discussion in, and then send a private message to the moderator of that forum asking for permission.
You can find a list of the moderators, the forums they supervise, and a button to send a private message to that person at this link

Well, I have a way to talk about this that I think will be acceptable. I'll start a thread over at the social justice subforum.
