Question Catholics like us in or near Virginia?

Hello,

I'm new to the forum! I'm looking forward to getting to know you all!!

I'm wondering if there are any other Catholic in or near Virginia like us - ones who homeschool, dress 'plain' and wear head coverings most of the time? I don't mind being the only Catholic I know like this, but I'd like our children, particularly our daughters, to be able to connect with others like them.

Anyone?

Wow, that's a tough one as Virginia itself is pretty big! If you are near Kentucky, I heard there are some plain Catholics there

I'd suggest contacting the pastor of local parishes. They may be able to introduce you to other families.

Also, in what general area do you live?

We are located in Central Virginia, but have friends and family all over the state that we are able to visit semi-regularly. Travel is not necessarily a problem.

We aren't fully Plain. One would certainly know by looking at us that we are not Amish or Menonite. Mostly we just dress extremely modestly and are learning to homestead a bit here and there.

A good bet would be trying to meet people at this TLM Parish....

Do you live anywhere near Front Royal? There's a good contingent of people that came out of Christendom college that live around there and are raising their families the way you are.

The Diocese of Arlington has several parishes that offer the traditional Latin Mass. I expect you'll have find families like yours' most easily at one of those.

Default Re: family friendly-Catholic friendly areas in Virginia?

Greetings!
I'm also new to this forum. I'm considering moving to Virginia with my family. I'm not sure what counties may be the most family friendly - Catholic friendly. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

D.
