Default Prayers for my dogs

Hi,

I have three dogs and two of them seem to be peeing in the house a lot. Right now my room seems to smell like urine. Can you pray that the source of the smell is uncovered, and that my dogs stop peeing in the house, which we've caught them doing. Also, if there is anything in my room that is emanating a bad odor besides the dogs, that I find out what it is. I think St. Christina the Astonishing would be a good saint to ask her intercession. She could smell sin on people, and so could not stand being around practically anyone, from what I've read.

Perhaps ask for St. Francis of Assisi's intercession. I've got to clean my room anyways, so any prayers for that intention will be helpful. But pray for my dogs, because I know they are peeing in the house.

Joshua

St. Francis of Assissi, I ask you to intercede with God for joshua's needs.... You were beloved by all creatures... Bless his pets and enable Joshua to help them....

St. Francis of Assisi and St. Christina the Astonishing, help Joshua find the source of the bad smell in his room. Help the pets to learn to not pee in places where Joshua doesn't want them to. Intercede continually for Joshua during this time.

You might try "Piddle Pads". Not sure it would work, not knowing your animals' situation. You would need to make an effort to train them on the pads (they go there, and you praise and give a treat). The pads are absorbent with a thin plastic bottom to protect the floor, and have a fragrance dogs can smell that attracts them. At least if you only have to toss out a pad, it's easier than trying to clean all over. If you haven't heard of these, try Doctors Foster and Smith pet supply online. Or a pet store could have them.

The other thing, if this seems like excessive urination, that is, a dog is going pee more than usual and seems like he can't wait the normal time to go out, it might be a medical issue, such as a bladder infection (which is treated with antibiotics), or if it's an older dog, possibly even a kidney problem.

I wish you luck.

I don't usually take part in threads on prayer requests, because I don't pray. But in this case I hope you will not find it disrespectful if I suggest a trip to the vet in addition to whatever spiritual forces you can bring to bear? You need to exclude uninary tract problems. The vet will also be able to refer you to an animal behaviourist or trainer who will be able to help. I imagine they will advise you to walk them regularly at the same time each day as a starter.
