I use Google reader to see what's going on in the forum. Whenever I come across an offensive post I click on it to report it but often find its been deleted already. I checked Google to see was there a way of not showing this offensive material, but apparently not. Their advice is:

content from Google Reader can change the item's content but leave the
item in the feed - Google Reader's crawler will update the item in the
cache with the new content as long as the item ID remains the same.
This will at least keep the content in question from continuing to
appearing in the feed.

So I was wondering if admins could edit the title and content of an offensive post to just say "Deleted".
Any other suggestions?
