Does the Recent Visitors box work?

the reason i ask is i notice the count goes up sometimes 40 or more, but the 10 most recent visitor names stay the same.

and they're not even online.

so is this box functioning/accurate?

I think that it counts people who do not have accounts as well as those who do, this would account for the numbers going up but the names staying the same. I am just guessing however.

I just visited itulian's profile under an account I use for testing purposes. That account was not logged in.

If itulian can not see the name of this test account, it might explain why he sees many visits but not new names.

I just visited itulian's profile using an test account which was not logged in. If itulian can not see the name of this test account, which should be obvious, then I think it confirms your theory.

A couple hours ago, I visited itulian's profile using a web browser I only use for test accounts. I didn't log in when I visited CAF. If itulian can not see the name of the test account I use (and I didn't see it just now) perhaps this confirms your theory.

Yes, but non-members (or at least members who are not logged-in) see an abbreviated version of your profile. For example, contact information is not available and it is impossible to send a PM.
