Might I need an exorcism?

Hey everyone. I am beginning to think that I might need an exorcism. I have this tic that bothers me all the time. Basically it makes me shrug my shoulders over and over and over. I have absolutely no control over this. I have seen a neurologist about it but I did not receive a diagnosis other than it is some kind of tic disorder but it was not specified as to what tic disorder it is. I thought they told me I had Tourettes but I just spoke with the nurse from my neurologists office and she said the doctor did not think I have Tourettes. I am able to speak with priests and receive the Eucharist just fine and it is my understanding that people who are possessed are not able to do these things so that leads me to believe that maybe I don't need an exorcism but maybe I just need some sort of deliverance prayers. I have no idea where to turn. Please help.

From my understanding, you are far from needing an exorcism. A priest told me recently that some of us do have "demonic oppression" in our lives and the best way to overcome the negative influences is to pray frequently and receive the sacraments (mass, confession, etc) as frequently as possible.

I took the advice and began praying much more that I use to and started going to mass almost everyday. I feel that by performing these actions, the Holy Spirit has revealed to me what was driving these negative influences and I am trying to make a radical change in my life to abolish them as we speak.

Hi, I am just joining this group for the first time..I am Catholic, 49, been spiritually chosen since my earliest memories..The evil one has been attacking me and my family since i was young..The last two years have been especially hard..family fued..my son not talking to me..so much..i try to be positive and joyous..i pray often..I don't know how much more i can take..I feel great pain..I have a huge heart and extremely forgiving..family members keep attacking me..my heart hurts..i try to give my sufferings up for Jesus..The devil is present..I tried to kill myself a year and a half ago..my recovery is strong..I love deeply..I am very sensitive and aware..I may need help with demonic obression..i have been to confession..going again soon..and tryingto go to mass more often..I struggle with some powerful feelings that make it hard for me to pray the rosary..or get through it..but I pray with the Virgin Mother often and follow Medjugorie. I lived away from my family for thirty three years..I moved back and the devil doesnt like it.

Hey everyone. I think Satan and his demons have really been attacking me lately. I still have the shoulder shrugging tic and I have also been feeling a lot of spiritual dryness lately. Please keep me in your prayers.
