How does your inbox/storage space work question?
Hi,
I have heard other members say that they have 200 messages inside of their box. However, I only have space for 100 messages
And I have been here over 3 years, since Feb. 2009. And I am a REGULAR MEMBER
And I do not want to erase these messages, because I have good links, and helpful information.
So, how can I increase my box size/storage space?
100 is NOT enough
I could not figure out where to post this, please help me out, thanks!
Thanks for your help!
PAX,
Megan

Re: How does your inbox/storage space work question?
Megan, unfortunately the only way for your message box to increase in size is to rise to a higher membership "rank." You have been a member of CAF long enough to quality as a Senior Member, however you need to have more posts: 6000 to be exact.
Since reaching that number of posts may take a little time, here are a couple things you might consider. One method is to delete certain messages in your Sent box since these count against your total limit. Or, if you have ever requested return receipts, you might want to delete those notifications. Of course, you don't want to delete anything you think is important.
Perhaps the least time consuming method is to simply download your messages to your computer, and then delete the ones at CAF. This has the advantage of freeing up your message box space and also allow you to keep your older messages secure. Of course, should you ever want to quote from one of those messages, you would need to copy the text from your computer and paste it into your online reply.
To download your messages, scroll to the bottom of the message box page. Near the bottom will be these words:
Quote:
Download all Private Messages as:
XML | CSV | Text
|
You simply have to decide which form you want your messages downloaded in: XML or CSV .or Text. Which you choose may depend on what program (Wordpad, Microsoft Word, Open Office etc) you will use to read the messages.

Dear Dale,
Thanks for your kind message & help!
It seems that we were posting at the same time.
I am finally a Regular Member but with only 100 storage space
OK, one member in particular has 3200 posts & is a Regular Member,
and he said he had 250 messages & had to delete some, because his box was full.
So, I wonder what the different posts numbers/breakdowns are?
Do you know when exactly will I get an increase?
Like you said, 6000 posts for Senior member, I wonder what the storage space
is at that point?
Thanks for all of your help!
God Bless you,
PAX,
Megan
