Thanks very much for the input, He Man. Very good to know there are guys like you who truly stand up for what they believe is right and aren't afraid to speak it.

Seems from the sound of the previous responses that the practice of sending them is common in some areas more than others, or with some groups of people more than others, but it's all very helpful info for anyone dealing with this horrible challenge in a marriage.

God bless.

It certainly happens, but I wouldn't say it's common.

It is more common for them to try to show it to you on their phone or computer in person.
Wow. Thanks for the input, white sheep. I never realized that many people will also attempt to show it to others on their phones or computers right in person. Sad commentary on society today, for sure. Feels like we all need to pray and work real hard to help get this country/planet back on the right track of proper moral values. It's going downhill faster than ever. Satan must be thrilled.

I appreciate your input. God bless.

I agree they're definitely creepy...as well as extremely harmful in many ways, especially in the context of a marriage.
Thanks for the input from your awareness. Very glad they're not common from what you've seen.

Thanks, everyone, for taking the time to respond. All of your answers have given me a much better perspective on this for use in discussing with my husband. Sounds like the practice is very common in some areas and among some people and yet not so common in other areas and among other people, but no matter how you look at it, it seems to be a very sinful habit to me. I pray that satan's influence in this age of technology can be turned back, and I think it's probably up to us to begin to speak out against these types of things whenever we possibly can. After all, to paraphrase a quote, for evil to prevail, all it takes is for good men and women to do nothing.

God bless all of you for your assistance.

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle;
be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray:
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan and all the evil spirits
who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Have always loved that prayer, Khalid. So appropriate for these times we live in. Thanks for sharing.

I totally agree that it's not okay, Lily. Just wish (and pray) that a lot more men would think the same. It's very degrading to women - and to wives who know that their husbands drool over the emails (and other things even worse which seem to go along with the habit).

Thanks for the input.

It sickens me that pornography has been successfully mainstreamed into our culture and is thought of as a harmless form of entertainment. One cannot prevent being exposed to pornographic images and content because everything from movies and television shows to advertisements use sex and sexual imagery to lure audiences.

Currently, there is a commercial for Liquid Plumr that runs on TV. A woman is holding a bottle of Double Impact Liquid Plumr and she is daydreaming about two plumbers coming to "service" her. One plumber offers to "snake the drain" and the other offers to "flush the pipe." The commercial continues with the two men standing behind the woman, when the viewer is treated to an image of the snake entering the drain, followed by the liquid splashing into the drain. This is sexual innuendo at its most obvious and is clearly a metaphor for the woman's fantasy to take part in a sexual threesome.

The commercial ends with the woman snapping back to reality with a satisfied smile on her face. She then looks at the grocery store workers (plumbers in her fantasy) and one is slicing deli meat and the other is holding two melons and sniffing them.

I wrote to the maker of Liquid Plumbr and told them I will never buy any of their products because of this vile ad and their willingness to use pornographic imagery and subject matter to sell a product.

Here is a YouTube link to the ad:

How insane is that - and how disturbing that many will probably think the commercial is just great.

Thanks for the input, JerseyJeepster. We all need to keep praying in this day and age - more than ever!
