China hits back on U.S. human rights
http://edition.cnn.com/2012/05/25/wo...-human-rights/
Quote:
Beijing, China (CNN) -- China criticized a "woeful" human rights record in the United States on Friday, a day after a U.S. report said Beijing's own record is getting worse, with harsh crackdowns on dissidents.
"The United States' tarnished human rights record has left it in no state -- whether on a moral, political or legal basis -- to act as the world's 'human rights justice,' " China said in an annual report on U.S. human rights.

but what of the tens of millions of innocent babies slaughtered every year in the womb? America is just as much of a tyrant as any other country. Our actions making war in the name of "peace" throughout the middle east is proof enough. Like the "WMD's" in Iraq lol

And that is why I call this the China defense fallacy. Pointing at someone else's wrongs doesn't make your actions any less wrong.

There is no definite number, but the usual one quoted is 65 million, not even 100 million, let alone "hundreds of millions."

Did you ever thought on the number of abortions in China?
Remember, they have and had a 1-baby rule. Besides, every Chinese family wants a male heir so female babies were killed.
For you to have an idea, there are 70 million more males in China than females. so, imagine...
So, besides the millions slaughtered as political prisoners, you have more abortions in China much more than population in the USA.

It's called a "tu quoque fallacy".
China's grievances:
1) "The United States prioritizes the right to keep and bear arms over the protection of citizens' lives and personal security and exercises lax firearm possession control, causing rampant gun ownership"
LOL. What do you call a free man unable to own weapons? A slave.
2) #OWS arrests.
Hmmm, is it any surprise that the world's larges Communist regime sympathizes with orgainizations with communist goals?

"lol"?......how about the 400,000 people pulled out of mass graves after the Iraqi dictator (the real tyrant) was overthrown.....not exactly something to laugh out loud or be flip about.

Darn, and here I thought I had invented something.
Well, at least I know what to call it now (but I do still like "China defense fallacy").

Re: China hits back on U.S. human rights
Heck, all the Chinese government has to do is point at the USA's use of torture at GITMO, and the CIA sending prisoners to "Black Sites," where more aggressive torture is used.
Thanks to the Bush years as president, the USA has lost all moral credibility when it comes to human rights.

I am not American but tell you, in human rights, China cannot point at NO one in the world.

Re: China hits back on U.S. human rights
When it comes to human rights per country, I prefer the reports from independent bodies like Amnesty International that covers all countries.
