Post The Rosary power.

Imagine a scenario when a person unexpectedly possessed in a place without any presence or access of clergy available(I don't know if this is possible or not), is it possible that a Catholic can expel the demon or temporarily subdue it with the Rosary?

UnityofTrinity,

Good question. I am a recent convert to Catholicism, so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but I have to say that I have found great power in reciting the Rosary. If it is recited calmly and reflectively (not rushed) it clears the mind of all evil thoughts and intentions. I try to recite the Rosary every morning at dawn, and if I do so, my day goes much better. Mornings are best because my subconscious mind is still active and I gain deep insights into the layers of meaning behind the mysteries.

I look forward to hearing from others on this topic.

The rosary is very powerful. Over the 6 years I have been Catholic, the rosary is part of my daily life. I have seen people healed, hearts softened towards the church and deliverence.

"If you don't already pray the Rosary every day, please start at once. The prayer of the holy Rosary is the prayer of the holy gospel, and that means it is the prayer of the Good News Who is Jesus Christ, the LIFE of the world. Many saints will be forged in the crucible of the coming years. Make sure you are among them" --Fr. John Corapi.

beth40n2,

Thanks for the link. And thanks also for that wonderful quote from Fr. Corapi. I live in Canada, and was actually converted to Catholicism by listening to EWTN radio from across the border (it's not allowed up here) and Fr. Corapi's homilies were EXTREMELY influential in my conversion. I had NEVER before heard Catholicism spoken with such power and evangelical conviction! I think Fr. Corapi is one of the shining lights of 21st century Catholicism, and I pray for him often. God bless!

From my personal experience (and this has been confirmed by wel-known exorcists like Fr. G. Amorth), praying the Rosary does help liberating someone from demonic obssession or infestation.

Demonic posession is another matter and requires the assistance of an experienced exorcist priest. However, posession is rare.
