Past few days having problem with site taking ages to load

For the past 2 or 3 days the Catholic Answers forum website pages have been taking ages to load completely. I end up having to stop the page from loading in order to see the forums. If I don't do this the CA forums pages just keep loading and loading and loading with only parts of the site visible.

It is only when I stop the page from loading that I can see most of the forum page contents. This has never happened to me before, not even on my old computer. I am posting this to let the admins know what is going on.

I have no problems either. You may need some technical help to clean out files, do a defragmentation, etc.

If you have to really take a big leap and get a new computer, remember to get a good virus protection package from the likes of Norton or McAffee.

While we are here for a temporary time, working toward an eternal life, it makes no sense to wait for the catholic web page to load. We need speed here. We can rest later.

I already mentioned in my original post that not even on my old pc did I have this problem... meaning that I already am using a new pc. There is no need to clean out files or do defragmentation on a pc that is less than 2 weeks old.

My new pc came with the Norton virus program (which I run regularly). Like I said before in original post, my old pc didn't have this page loading problem, nor did my new pc have this problem with the website taking ages to load up until a few days ago.

So it is not a problem with my pc. Can the tech admins here tell me what could be going on that the website is behaving this way on my new pc.

Are other sites of a similar structure causing the same problem?

If not, I would have the home blessed by a priest.

I gotta agree with "Temple" on this one. I'm having a heck of a time trying to put a "Smilie" in my replies. The window comes partly open, then freezes. If you wait an hour or two (OK, I'm exaggerating), the Smilie list will open completely and then freeze again. More time wasted. One time, I lost a reply because I was trying too hard to get out of the Smilie page.

I am not having the problem anymore. Whatever the bug was that was not allowing the pages on CAF to load problem got fixed. I decided to restore my computer to a point before the problems started happening and that fixed the problem.
