Let me ask you this question: is it licit for a woman, who works or lives in a rape-prone environment, to use contraception as a precautionary measure? E.g. a female condom with "teeth"?

No but it is licit for a non-sexually active woman to use a contracetptive in such a situation, in which case it would not be contraception.

Petergee, another question: What about conjugal rape? Given your argument (which I quoted in my previous comment post), if a woman is raped by her husband is it morally acceptable for her (again, provided that she has not yet conceived) to use the morning after pill?

The same considerations apply regardless of whether the rapist is her husband or somebody else. Marriage is not a licence to rape!

I don't think St Peter thought that what appeared to be the Lord was a demon. His question was to reassure himself that it wasn't a ghost or an hallucination.
