Aurora, colo cops abuse 4th amendment
Probable cause or due process doesn't seem to matter to these guys.
They couldn't find a bank robber, so they blockaded an intersection, detained and handcuffed every adult in every car they stopped (19 cars total). Worse, they seem proud of it. Incredible. Story here

Re: Aurora, colo cops abuse 4th amendment
It seems that the police may have bungled things a bit.
Overall, setting a roadblock and apprehending an armed bank robber is good police work.

There is another thread on this.
It also has the required news story hyperlinked in.

True, but arbitrarily detaining (handcuffing) people is not. People have (or are supposed to have) freedom from "unreasonable search and seizure." These heavy-handed cops obviously don't get that, or don't care.

I posted this story yesterday, (not that it matters), if there was already a thread on this, my apologies.
