Default Can someone fix the podcast problem?

Whoever loads the podcasts (the only way I can listen) to Apple has stopped dating them. Now the new podcasts I download become intermingled with the 100 or so shows that I have listened to and saved. This is extremely inconvenient.

Ditto. The only ones I want are Catholic Answers Live and EWTN Open line, not every radio and TV show.

Thanks for the heads up. We haven't stopped adding the date, but iTunes feels the need to change things around periodically. We'll look into what happened and hopefully resolve the issue because that is extremely inconvenient.

What device are you using to download the show?

Ok we are looking into what happened. It looks like the dating for the iPhone downloads has stopped adding the dates. We haven't done anything different but sometimes if iTunes changes something we have to adjust the coding from our end to keep things from changing on iTunes. Again we appreciate the heads up.

As far as the dating on the computer goes, I can't see anything that has changed there. Where are you viewing the podcast in iTunes? iTunes is still displaying a release date, which would be the date after the show aired (usually) which should help. Unfortunately the only other date view option on iTunes is the year, even though we put the whole date in it only displays the year. Can you not see the release dates anymore? If that is the case it may be because the view enabler has been unchecked. It should force you to display the release date under the "podcast" folder. Let me know if you need more details on this.

I don't know if anyone can fix this problem, but I'll mention it to see if anyone else has encountered this. I download CAL from iTunes. If I download 4 programs and drag them into the iPod, the first 3 shows will play just fine, but the 4th one won't! If I download 6 programs, 5 will be ok and the 6th won't play.

There's nothing wrong with the podcast itself, I can download it from my browser rather then iTunes, and it will play just fine.

Weird, huh?

I'm having a problem with the podcasts as well, not quite the same, but I wonder if it's related? I download the podcasts and burn them to CD to listen in the car. The files appear on the CD, and I can listen to them in my computer, but they won't play in my MP3 player in the car. I've tried it from different computers, using different kinds of discs, but no luck. Other podcasts play fine, so I know it's not my MP3 player. This just started recently; I've been doing it this way for years with no problems until now.

Check the settings in iTunes when you burn the cd. It should be selected on "audio cd" rather than Data CD.
