An excellent book is "New Proofs for the Existence of God" by Robert Spitzer. It covers the past few years in physics well enough. As always, pray for him and love him unconditionally.

P.S. I just finished my masters in nuclear engineering.

It's not either/or. You don't have to turn your back on God because you want to become a scientist (and neither should you dismiss science if you want to become a priest).

He's an intelligent adult with a mind of his own. He'll come to believe different things to you. I’d assume that you wouldn't want him to be an exact replica of yourself. Treat him like an adult, discuss things that are important to you. Don’t be dogmatic. Lead by example. Listen to his views. Accept the differences between you as they stand now.

He’s got a lifetime to discover himself and what his beliefs are.

Eh I dropped out of going to church, mom prayed to the Holy Spirit and one day I just went back to Church.

Then one day I decided to become and anti-theist agnostic....mom again prayed for the Holy Spirit to guide me.....about 10 months latter I found myself in a Jewish synagogue and slowly renewed my faith in God....then I started to renew my faith in Christianity.

Just remember when you pray to the Holy Spirit, it really does work.
