What choir is singing on Inchoro.net/ composer inquiring
Hello,
I have been pulling my hair out trying to find out. There is NO information anywhere as far as I've looked. Does anyone know about this site? Who owns it, what the rights to the recordings are, etc....
Would appreciate hearing back.
Thanks!
Lisa

I don't know, but it could be any group of monks or brothers or Priests. I'm subscribing to this thread as I'm curious too.
There are a few I recognise, and sound like they're coming from Solesemes in France.

Wow! Thanks for your reply. Now finally I have a possible lead to the choir. I will definitely look them up and compare files. "inchoro" has posted one as Public Domain on another site called commons wiki or something like that. But I want to be sure about it, and besides really do want to know who's singing.

Re: What choir is singing on Inchoro.net/ composer inquiring
Thanks Loyal Views!!!!
By the way, are you referring to St. Peter's Abbey, Solesmes, France?
I feel like a private investigator now, with all of the checking I need to do!
I did discover so far that their first recordings were monophonic and recorded in the 50's which actually may be why those are in public domain with creative commons license.
I am now trying to find out how I can contact them directly via email and hope someone can communicate in French, or I will need to translate the text.
Thanks again!!!
Lisa

http://www.solesmes.com/GB/entree.php?js=1
I see that on the bottom right hand corner of their homepage they do display the cc license there (creative commons)
