Hello, my name is Randy. I am 49 years old and I was raised by a Lutheran family. At 18 I married and my wife was Catholic. I have attended both Lutheran and Catholic Churches over the years. I have even traveled to the Vatican in Vatican City and I was touched by the greatness. I am now working and living in Asia and there is a very strong following of the Catholic faith and I am becoming more and more interested in becoming Catholic.

Hi I am a Catholic from Michigan. I converted 2 years ago. It was one of the best decisions of my life. I am currently not working due to surgery 4 weeks ago. I am looking forward to talking to other Catholics.

Hello All!

I have been going through these forums for about a year now and finally decided to make an account. I was baptized in the Holy Orthodox Church (message me if you want to know specifics) and am a devout faithful in both The Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church. Although one may find my religious and family roots in the middle east, I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I have attended a catholic school for 10 years and received first communion in the Catholic Church. I consider myself a “hybrid” between the two churches as I love the devotion the Catholic Church teaches its humble faithful while being in love with the divine liturgy and tradition of the Orthodox Church.

I am a sophomore at a university in southern California, studying Biomedical Engineering. As my school does not have a large Orthodox group, I, naturally, attend all the Catholic events and masses. I follow the global church’s news very carefully and am versed well in such matters as the Opus Dei, SSPX, and Catholicism in China.

I am at peace when I pray the rosary, on my knees and find the teachings of Saint Escriva to be very inspirational.

Throughout my journey in these forums, I have not seen many Orthodox faithful participate and I hope I can bring in my own perspective on all the issues brought about and we can all grow in faith.

Hi,
I am a protestant whose son has chosen to become Catholic and has his masters in Catholic theology and is teaching in a Catholic high school. Just wanted to view what catholic people believe. There are things I appreciate about the Catholic church but there are too many beliefs I could never subscibe too. But I'm tired of the confliting theologies of the protestant church. So i'm really just a seeker .

Hi! I'm a public high school teacher and BSA Scoutmaster from Memphis, and I love to listen to the Catholic Answers podcast. I am a convert from the Baptist Church, confirmed in 1991 after 4 years of "coincidences," honest discernment, and finally real study.

I really enjoy learning to nuts and bolts of apologetics.

I'm a Christian looking to find a good church that teaches the truth. I read the entire Bible (Old Testament and New Testament) and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. I have been to several churches and read the different beliefs of the various Christian denominations. I now know what the different beliefs are but how am I supposed to know which beliefs are right?

My beliefs on salvation are similar to what the Catholic Church teaches but I'm unsure what to think about other Catholic teachings such as the Trinity, Mary, purgatory, communion of saints, real presence in Eucharist, etc. I want to learn more and get some questions answered so I can decide whether I want to join the Catholic Church.

I came here to get an answer to a question. I have posted the question and await a reply. I have been a Catholic for 13 days - I was baptised rather late in life. My family is divided. The Catholics are delighted and the atheists think I have let the side down. It is strange that atheists can have a "holier than thou" attitude

The Church has opened a whole new world to me. I do not regret the wasted years - where would be the point? I just look forward to the future.
