Getting the really important stuff out of the way . . .

Greetings . . . this is my first post here and I thought I'd get the really important questions out of the way before diving into "religion."

1) How and where do I go to create or upload a really neat avatar for my posts, and

2) where do I go to attach a signature to my posts?

Sorry . . . this has probably been asked before . . . but I've looked around my control panel and edit my profile and I don't see anything

Welcome to Catholic Answers Forums, or CAF as we often call this place.

This is a huge site, and a bit overwhelming at first. One section you might be interested in exploring is called Mini-Tutorials. It is sort of a Frequently Asked Questions list. It can be found in the section called Concierge Desk.

The answers to your questions can be found there. But to save you some digging, here are the answers

CAF's software will automatically bestow on us a membership title. This title is based upon two things: the length of time we have belonged to CAF, and the number of posts we have made.

Presently, you are considered a Trial Member. Unfortunately, this means you don't yet have the ability to create a signature or post graphics. Those privileges will be unlocked when you reach the status of New Member, which is roughly around three weeks of membership AND having made at least 15 posts. Uploading your own custom avatar.... will take longer.

That privilege is unlocked when you become a Regular Member, which occurs after belonging to CAF for six months AND having made at least 500 posts.

However, you will be able to choose from CAF's stock avatars once you become a Trial Member, which is much, much sooner.
