Default 3pm:The Hour of Great Mercy

I offer praise and thanks for the Words of our Lord to St Faustina in diary entry 1320:
At three o'clock implore My Mercy especially for sinners; and, if only for a brief moment, immerse yourself in My Passion, particularly in My Abandonment at the moment of agony. This is the hour of Great Mercy for the whole world... In this Hour, I will refuse nothing to the soul that makes a request of Me in virtue of my Passion.
This summary is included in a beautiful brochure (PATL-2-083) by The Marian Helpers at Stockbridge MA, which encourages each of us to daily prayer at 3pm.

Diary entry 1572 also records Jesus' Words about the Hour of Great Mercy:
I remind you, My daughter, that as often as you hear the clock strike the third hour, immerse yourself completely in My Mercy, adoring and glorifying it; invoke its omnipotence for the whole world, and particularly for poor sinners; for at that moment Mercy was opened wide for every soul.

My edition Marian Press 1990 has a wonderful index--sometimes I look up a sin or its corresponding virtue to read as a penance, either in the diary or one of several other books.

I admit that it is virtually impossible for me to pray a full chaplet when I'm alone--regardless of the time I have available--because in a long chaplet my mind wanders outrageously. I once kept a journal of these mindwanderings in hopes of analysis and cure, but that's another story, another day. Most often at three, along with other prayers, I pray the Eternal Father...(large bead), one (only) for the sake of...(small bead), and three (3) Holy God... This almost always stops my wandering mind, but makes me concerned that perhaps I am being disrespectful. I almost always succeed in reassuring myself with Jesus' teaching not to babble (Mt 6:7), although sometimes I find myself repeating the Eternal Father...3, 4, or even 5 times--almost without being conscious of making the decision to. I like to think that its God's call to come closer, improve in purity. Is this scruples? Don't scruples sound like a good thing?
I pray the Our Father and Hail Mary every morning, first thing, and generally don't repeat them except when they are included in other prayers, like the Divine Office (I don't repeat them at 3--again with some concern/scruple?).

I'm struggling to find if (and when) the current words of the Chaplet of Mercy were given to St Faustina--can any one help and identify the precise place in the diary? Also, the phrase I offer You the Body and Blood...puzzles me. St Faustina addresses Eternal Father in the chaplet, but I'm uncertain in what sense we can offer the Body... After much consideration, I've been saying (in private) I offer my Love of the Body and Blood.... This seems more within my capability, and seems reasonable, yet both alternatives leave me feeling somewhat guilty. Is my quest for understanding and precision/perfection just a scruple? Are there really trivial scruples--or are we being led to Purity/Holiness? I'd like to think this is a part of the natural, Divine, process of purification that we all go through. Surely it is God, through nature, who is gradually taking away many of the temptations and emotions that once tested me.

Diary entry numbers in bold at the ends of the paragraphs:

I've always wondered about this, but, it's what we also do at every Mass. I think since the words came from Jesus, we need to accept them as pleasing to Him, a mystery we cannot grasp easily.

I just reread the last entry, #1828:
Today, the Majesty of God is surrounding me. There is no way I can help myself prepare better. I am thoroughly enwrapped in God. My Soul is being infalmed by His Love. I only know that I love and am love. That is enough for me. I am trying my best to be faithful throughout the day to the Holy Spirit and to fulfill His demands. I am trying my best for interior silence in order to be able to hear His voice...
My edition has this marked as 16 vs the prior entry # 1827 which is marked both 12 and 15. I can only vaguely recall that the two-digit numbers reflect the some discrepancies in the sequence of either her original notebooks or other editions. I think this group of entries was written at Cracow, Jan 10, 1938, begun as a Communion preparation, but posted after the Sacrament.
Does anyone understand the reasoning or logic for closing this edition this way? It clearly isn't her last post--but it certainly is beautiful and very striking. Do other editions close the same way?
