Default Recent convert and vegetarian =) New.

I just wanted to say hello. I'm so glad to find a group with fellow Catholic vegetarians and vegans. I was vegan for a year and a half but have recently reverted to vegetarianism because of a very serious knee injury causing my dear old meat eating family to make meals for me. They have a hard enough time making me vegetarian dishes let alone vegan ones. I thought it was the right thing to do.

Joyful,

Stay in the fight. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, but your witness is probably making an impact on them for the good. We are here for you!

Joyful,

Maybe it would help to simplify.

Vegan goulash with alternatives for meat can be hard to make for a non-vegan, but potatoes or rice with tofu (store bought and fried for a few minutes or any other method of preparation you prefer) and salad is easy and can be prepared along with non-vegan food.

That was one of the ways for my family when it was mixed, preparing meat separately. Vegetable stews are a big part of my diet, I love them.
Before they were cooked with meat. Now meat is on the side and the stew is vegan, with just one small change.

Don't give up!

In the recipe lists there is a loaf we make about once a week, tofu, white been and gluten.... We slice for sandwiches, cube for curry, loaded with protein, cheap and easy, if you want it and can't find it let me know.... We also eat beans a lot, add nuts to cereal,... There are many easy ways to do this, as above a soup meat on the side add beans or tofu to yours...
