How do I explain my miraculous medal?
I recently began wearing a miraculous medal which I received on a recent retreat. My question is how I should explain it to someone who asks. I understand that during an apparition our lady said "Have a medal struck upon this model. Those who wear it will receive great graces, especially if they wear it around the neck.”
However, I don't want my explanation to sound magical or superstitious because I know the medal has no power in and of itself. Any thoughts on a way to explain it that clearly distinguishes from a superstitious belief?
