You got me! You thrust me through with the truth (by means of canon law, no less)! In my own defense, canon 111 does state that if the parents do not agree on the child being baptized in the Latin Church, then “the child is ascribed to the Ritual Church to which the father belongs." So there is bit of a preference for the father’s rite. But for candidates over fourteen, they are free to choose.
