At this point, sometimes I think I would take anyone! I know that is the loneliness speaking but sometimes it is just a tough road. I am 42 women that will finish my Phd in 2014. I work full time at a great job, own my own house, I have three old cars that I have collected, love to travel, am an Iraq veteran, love doing sporty and outdoor things, love to cook, like to joke around and am extremely compassionate. I just can't seem to understand why God does not answer my prayers for a spouse. I have never been married and have no children. I see people around me that are married and just wonder why not me. I just have to keep praying.

It would be difficult for me to make a list, I tend to simply find admirable females whom I'd like to share my life with in manner that I see successful Catholic couples doing inasmuch as I'm able to emulate (I hope that makes sense).

For example I know a young lady who is 10 years younger than myself (I'm 30) and she has a large family which is incredibly devout. Her parents are pious people who have homeschooled all of their children (and adopted children as well). All of their kids are devoted to their faith, well mannered & behaved, and seem like they'll be well adjusted in their later years. I don't want to put her on a pedastal but I see her as the kind of girl who is perfect for me, don't confuse what I've said as I'm not implying that she IS perfect but rather that her personal qualities mesh with my desires for a female counterpart.

Also I study couples who I have a similar admiration for and talk with them so that I can form myself in a way that would engender a successful relationship with a future partner. In fact if the aforementioned young lady and I could raise a family in a similar fashion as her parents raised her I would be quite content.

Well, right now I'm only 15, but here goes my list anyways.
In a future husband, I would like to see:
-A man strongly devoted to his faith
-A man who puts God before me
-A man who loves his children very deeply
-A man with a sense of humor who loves to play with his kids
- A man who is open to NFP and has respect for all life
-A man who is kind, chivalrous, and loyal
-A man who will love me until death do us part
Praying for him, wherever he is.......

To be a Catholic woman is most important to me, as well as somewhere around my age (I am currently 29)---the latter is somewhat negotiable.
