Steubenville Conference
I just completed my first ever Steubenville Youth Conference (and I’m over 50). I went as a chaperone and may have experienced as much as the youth themselves. It was absolutely wonderful and if you ever get a chance please bless yourself and go. The presentation of adoration and adoration itself is simply awesome and words just cannot describe.
Thank you to Franciscan University and the Diocese of Alexandria, La.

Re: Steubenville Conference
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I've been in that area but I've never made the time to participate. Now, I'm too old and I'm not established enough at the parish I attend while in that diocese (I'm currently at school year round in another Louisiana diocese) to be a chaperon.
That being said, I think it would be a good thing for me to experience because while my spirituality is a bit more reserved and conservative, if I do pursue a priestly vocation, I will need to be accepting of the many different flavors of Catholicism.

Re: Steubenville Conference
My son was there, with our local youth group.
He had a wonderful time.
But he did say the food was awful.

Re: Steubenville Conference
I went many years ago as a chaperone. It was good, it was also HOT and there was NO air in the dorms. But it was a great experience for all of us!

Re: Steubenville Conference
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I went to Steubenville Main Campus last year and it absolutely lit up my faith life. I am going to the one in Springfield, Missouri on Friday and am really excited for it. Please keep my group and me in your prayers.

I'm actually going to my first Steubenville conference this weekend. Now I'm even more excited!

You'll be in my prayers (Though IMHO, I don't think you need them. It'll be awesome).
