Is listening to Gregorian Chant considered prayer??
Hey everyone,
I LOVE gregorian chant (i love country music too!!). I listen to it ALOT, and i mean ALOT. I feel so elevated and happy when i do. Is listening to Gregorian chant a kind of prayer, could i consider it as such? 
your thoughts dear readers!!

I think you can make just about anything into a prayer.

It's nice if you know what is being sung. For example, if it's a sung version of the Our Father, the Magnificat, Psalm 51 (the 'Miserere') or whatever - then you can truly follow along the words (in English if you don't know the Latin) and pray along with it.

I would say prayer is an action whether silent or out loud. I'm not convinced simply listening to something (even Gregorian chant) is a prayer.
