Needing Prayers For Deliverance
I can't help but think that a lot of the things I attribute to my mental illnesses are actually demonic problems. I've practically overcome every other symptom BUT this churning, sometimes dormant hatred in me. It's a violence and a fear - kind of like an animal in a trap trying to take the hand off anyone that comes near it. Like I said, it's not a perpetual problem but I almost seem to have an obsession with anger and an aversion to gentleness. It subsides for a short while if I drink holy water, but that's about it.
Please pray for me.

Re: Needing Prayers For Deliverance
I should probably mention that I've dealt with clearly demonic issues in the past. I lost control of my body once while yelling at someone in high school and was just watching my "self" do it from the back of my mind. One time I lied down to go to sleep and before I got the chance I got paralyzed twice, and couldn't even speak. I know I was awake though because I tried to force a scream out and I finally pushed it through and my grandma came running to the living room where I was sleeping. And once, when I went to get baptized, I immediately, for no reason, had an extreme mood swing that took me from normal to sobbing and running out of the church to hide in the woods in LITERALLY five seconds.

Re: Needing Prayers For Deliverance
I'll be praying for you. Ever since I joined the church this past April, I totes understand how the Devil especially likes to attack those most unloyal to himself.
Pax and God bless, my friend.

Re: Needing Prayers For Deliverance
The Chaplet of St. Michael is a powerful prayer, as well as the Rosary. Have you talked to a priest about this?
I am praying now that you will find the right council.

I am so thankful God called me home to the Catholic church.

Re: Needing Prayers For Deliverance
Please consider saying the Rosary of The Seven Sorrows, which is on the Catholic Answers forum about Our Sorrowful Mother. This should be said as a novena for spiritual warfare. I am standing with you in prayer against the evil one. Blessings!

Re: Needing Prayers For Deliverance
On a recent episode of "Faith & Culture" on EWTN the host interviewed a Charismatic bishop. They talked about evil spirits. The bishop said something about finding a charismatic priest (or he may have said prayer group) who can discern spirits. I came across a post on CAF recently where someone said something similar.
Your diocese should have some sort of office of renewal or charismatic renewal. Contact them and see if you could talk to one of their priests. Maybe print out what you have written here.

Re: Needing Prayers For Deliverance
Lord, please help WoundedIcon to go to confession frequently because I heard that this sacrament is equivalent to many exorcisms. May he/she be delivered from all demonic activity coming against him/her and become docile and gentle. Help him/her to find a good confessor/spiritual director to meet with regularly for the help and support he/she needs. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer.

Re: Needing Prayers For Deliverance
http://www.ourladyswarriors.org/prayer/michael.htm
On Sunday April 24th 1994, Pope John Paul II recommended this prayer be used by all Catholics as a prayer for the Church when he said: '"May prayer strengthen us for the spiritual battle we are told about in the Letter to the Ephesians: 'Draw strength from the Lord and from His mighty power' (Ephesians 6:10). The Book of Revelation refers to this same battle, recalling before our eyes the image of St. Michael the Archangel (Revelation 12:7). Pope Leo XIII certainly had a very vivid recollection of this scene when, at the end of the last century, he introduced a special prayer to St. Michael throughout the Church. Although this prayer is no longer recited at the end of Mass, I ask everyone not to forget it and to recite it to obtain help in the battle against forces of darkness and against the spirit of this world."'
Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Re: Needing Prayers For Deliverance
Praying for your intentions….
Lord Jesus, You have said, "Learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart." With confidence in Your loving heart which offers rest to weary souls, we come to You in this time of special need. In Your unfailing love, read the prayer that is written on our hearts, and grant the grace that we ask of You, in accordance with Your holy will. In Your name we pray. Amen.
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, and sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother, to thee I come, before thee I stand sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate! Despise not my petitions, but, in thy mercy, hear and answer me. Amen.
