Some people do, in reverence for a true follower of the gospel, but must always remember that worship belongs to God alone, and that a saint can only intercede with God. A saint is revered only as a creature of God who has truly lived according to the will of God
All power and grace is God's.

From a human point of view, people long gave curtsey and bows and bent the knee before nobles and kings. These are signs of reverence or supplication.
JESUS who died once for all persons
who gives Yourself wholly in Communion to billions throughout time
please pray in me for every person
as if each person is the only loved one.
JESUS please welcome each person with love, healing, and great joy!
Thank You JESUS

Mother Mary at the wedding feast of Cana (John 2:1-12)
though JESUS protested it was not yet time for miracles
you successfully interceded with Him for a family's temporal need
please now intercede with your divine Son
for each person's temporal and spiritual needs.
Thank you Mother

JESUS please grant our prayer for this person

Contrary to what Protestants want to make people think, kneeling does not equal worship. Worship cannot actually be defined by one act. So yes, definitely, you can kneel to pray to saints if you so wish.

Is it OK to kneel before your fiancee to ask her to marry you? Or is it a sin?

Yes, as the other posters said. Also, many of the saints in their veneration of other saints knelt before their statues.

Postures help our frame of mind.

God bless,
The Lord is kind and merciful.

I believe one of God's most under-appreciated gifts to us is the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
