Article does NOT say how many (on either side) retain dual citizenship.
I heard a singer (forget who) interviewed on the radio awhile back, she stated once things started to take off the band had to make frequent trips across the border. No problem -- until 9/11 when it still wasn't a problem 90% of the time. So just to avoid scheduling screw-ups 10% of the time she applied for US citizenship and is a dual citizen.

Oh, yes, the Maudite is one I've always wanted to try. Hmm, I'm driving through Quebec next month. Shopping list: Maudite (check)
That explains it. I think there's a law in this province that because of the bad deal we got with the Churchill Falls hydro project we are not allowed to buy Quebec beer.  No, just joking. We can buy Labatt's but that's about all.

That's unfortunate. I thought Canadians had good taste in beer and demanded such- not that Labatt is that bad- it's just not especially great either!
Here in Buffalo Labatt is the main beer drank- nearly as much or more than the typical American swill.
La fin Du Monde is also good by Unibrew.

I'm in Newfoundland and Labrador and I don't think this province is typical. According to its website, Newfoundland Liquor Commission reports that the top 10 North American beers sold here are
- Coors Light (lager)
- Budweiser Light (lager)
- Molson Canadian Lager (lager)
- Miller Genuine Draft (lager)
- Molson Canadian Light (lager)
- Molson Canadian 67 (lager)
- Budweiser (lager)
- Miller Chill (lager)
- Kokanee (lager)
- Bud Light Lime (lager)
The top imported beers are
- Corona Extra (lager)
- Heineken (lager)
- Guinness Draft (stout/porter)
- Stella Artois (lager)
- Faxe Beer (lager)
- Kilkenny (ale)
- Beck's (lager)
- Sapporo Beer (lager)
- Kronenbourg (lager)
- Peroni (lager)
- Holsten (lager)
Out of all those the only ones I'd buy are Guinness & Kilkenny. In North American beers I like Rickard's Red. And there are two microbreweries in New Brunswick that I like, Pumphouse & Picaroon. In both cases their Red is really good and I like Picaroon's YIPPEE IPA

Yes, we can tell the difference, just like I presume you can tell the difference between Columbian and Columbian Decaf and I like Second Cup Paradiso Dark better than Tim Hortons and Starbucks anything.

Yeah, I know, when you tell someone you're having a Maudite bière you're not cursing. It's an amber red with 8% alcohol per volume.
