May His Holiness Pope Francis continue to lay the groundwork for the reunification of East and West. Though it may not happen in any of our lifetimes, it is encouraging to see such mutual respect and cooperation and interest among both parties.

I like his comment about "being the mediators between East and West". (I think it would have been even better if he had added "and so are the Western-Rite Orthodox" ... although I guess, practically speaking, that would have caused too much confusion among the less-well-informed viewers.)
