I have a special degree, and I am really only qualified for a certain line of work. The past 12 years I have been working a 24/7 job. I have the worst family/life balance ever. I am tired of having work Christmas Eve and Day every year. I'm tired of being told Easter Sunday that I must come in early or face finding another job. I have had to compromise my faith and family so many times that I'm broken. I'm looking to rebuild. If St Joseph was a carpenter who built things, I wish to be like him, and build for myself something that my family can have joy in and be the person I am supposed to be.

Praying hard for your job search!

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be
Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done,
on earth, as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our
daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we
forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us
not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is
the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Your situation is not that unique. My husband's and mine and various friends all have special degrees, special situations, special cirmcumstances. Only 20 applications in over a month is NOT going to get you the job you want or desire.

Prayer to St. Joseph for Employment
Dear Saint Joseph, you were yourself once faced with the responsibility of providing the necessities of life for Jesus and Mary. Look down with fatherly compassion upon punisherthunder in his anxiety over his present inability to support himself. Please help him to find gainful employment very soon, so that this heavy burden of concern will be lifted from his heart and that he is soon able to provide for those whom God has entrusted to his care. Help him to guard against bitterness and discouragement, so that he may emerge from this trial spiritually enriched and with even greater blessings from God.

Amen.

Pardon me, but you sound very bitter about this. In fact, your negative view brings me down from any hope I have.
