Default Might rekindling an old friendship / romance be God's will?

Is it in Gods plan to have two people meet again in life, and if so one is married, not happy, and one is single. should they let God take the reins that they would be together again?

Default Re: rekindling an old friendship/romance

Dear friend,

God cannot contradict Himself. He has commanded that we shall not commit adultery. He has already taken the reins. The vows of marriage matter—regardless of how anyone feels about it. When we let our feelings rule us rather than right reason, we are left with chaos.

When we put Him first, we may suffer loneliness and daily discomfort in many ways—BUT, we are not alone. When we are with Him at the foot of His cross to give Him comfort—WE are comforted.

Fr. Vincent Serpa, O.P.
