Default What saint or biblical character do you believe had the best conversion?

I love the idea of incorrigible wicked people somehow finding God in an unexpected way.

I always loved the way St. Matthew was sat there collecting taxes and when Jesus said follow me he just stopped what he was doing and went.

St. Dismas, the good thief, on the cross by Jesus.

Another vote for St. Paul. He's the only one we have a feast day especially for his conversion!

Runners up:

St. Augustine
St. Mary Magdalene
St. Margaret of Cortona
St. Francis of Assisi
St. Ignatius of Loyola

St. Augustine ... who was prayed for by his mother, St. Monica.

Their feast days are celebrated one after the other.

St. Monica ... August 27th.

St. Augustine ... August 28th.

For me it would probably be St. Matthew or St. Mary Magdalene.

On a side note, Paul was merely converted from a flawed to a better mindset. He still had his zealous streak within him.

I think the conversion of the Babylonian king Nebucadnezzer in Daniel Ch. 4 was notable
