is your luteal phase exactly 14 days? some women have shorter luteal phases than others.

mine is 13 or 14 days exactly every month.

it's exciting, but nerving when you are waiting. you are super in-tune with every little ache and pain.

for me, a sure give away that I was pregnant both times, was that my cervical mucus turned bright yellow on both occassions. With my first, I had no implantion dip, but with my son, I had implantation dip on day 8, which meant I had implantation on day 7. It was wierd...I remember thinking, my temp went down, but my period is not due for another 6 days!!! Then the next morning, it shot back up and I was so hopeful.

I read that implantation dip means pregnancy like 80% of the time. watch out for it around day 6 to 9.

I haven't been charting temp, I use Creighton.. shame.

My luteal phase is 15-16days.

I feel different though... bloated, burpy, little nausea, exhausted, but I also have a uti so the symptoms are probably from that.

with my first, I felt really gassy and burpy as well for about 3 days before my positive test at 11 DPO. it was a very faint line at 11 days, but I got the line!!!

btw...a UTI doesn't cause gas and burping.

11 DPO, so for me that would be the 20th.. that's only 5 days away!

Oh this wait is NO fun!! I just want to know. I'll be so sad if it's negative.. everywhere I look all I see if babies babies babies!

as much as you want a baby, enjoy your freedom b/c it's gone when babies come along. life is still good, but very different. we underestimate how much sacrifice they are. it's all worth it, but enjoy your uncomplicated life now while you can!!!

why are you using creighton? just curious

I started charting 8months before we got married and I chose Creighton as our Priest recommended it. I was convinced by it because the british medical journal states the it's 3% more effective than the birth control pill. I'm really happy with it actually!

I practiced cervical mucus observations and temps when trying to get preggers.

Now I just go by cervix observations. I'm old too...turning 41, so not as fertile anymore anyway

I'm a big fan of those cheap internet tests. It's really ridiculous how many of them I wasted using them at like 5 or 6 dpo, but there is something so satisfying about using them. When DH found out he asked me if I'd like him to just give me a bucket of dimes to throw in the toilet. Men

Actually, I found *not* using the Amazon/dollar store cheapie HPTs helped me the most. When you can test so cheaply, you will test....a lot. And every test is a heap of anxiety. I did it for a couple of cycles and realized it was literally driving my life. I'd test at like 6 DPO since technically it can show up that early, then again at 8, then 10, etc. It was much better when I switched to the drugstore (read: expensive) tests. The month I got pregnant, I didn't even buy one until I had reason to and hadn't for several months, since who wants to waste over $7.

I bought cheap ones and made myself wait until 11 DPO every month.

I always had a soft spot in my heart for people TTC. It seems like it there is never a "break" from thinking about it. First you have to chart and wait for ovulation, then the two week wait. If the test is positive, it's time to wait for ovulation again!

I hope it is positive! Get yourself over to the "Pregnant or Not" perpetual thread. You'll be able to post questions, weigh in, and gather support from other people TTC. Then after you come back positive, go over to the "Pregnant Mama's" thread where they'll put you on the due date list!

So exciting, have fun!
