That would be hard to do...

...seeing as the Indefinite Detention portion of the most recent NDAA has been temporarily blocked (as of this past May) by a federal judge on the grounds that it's...drum roll please...unconstitutional!

But I fail to see why the thus far lack of enforcement of that section would in any way diminish the significance of the bill's signing. That's a pretty big power grab, even if it hasn't had a chance to be used (the bill was signed in Dec. 2011 and the injunction was issued in May 2012).

Lying to Congress is no longer a crime, just ask Eric Holder or Jon Corzine. No one respects Congress anymore...then again, why should they?

Not at all. There's a huge difference between being granted powers by Congress and simply seizing them and declaring the issue immune to even judicial review.

Really? I would think being able to challenge the illegal seizure of power would give a person some comfort in taking their case to court. If its legal to do so then a detainee has no legal recourse.

Why is Holder hiding documents? Brian Terry was killed, hundreds of Mexicans were killed and answers need to be found.

And I find it odd that you give a pass to the admin that has not only adopted every Boosh initiative, and then expanded them.

It's ALL Booosh's fault!!!!

You know, you might be wise to put down the Liberal-drone Kool Aide and realize that I am not a big fan of Bush and I do not support the majority of the PATRIOT Act. However Bush's Polizei Stadt was nothing compared to Obama's. The PATRIOT Act didn't give the powers the NDAA does. The TSA was not as invasive and harassing under Bush as they are under Obama.

Just because I think Obama is worse than Bush, doesn't mean "Der I tink Dubya is duh graytest presidunt evah!" You know we do have 42 other Presidents besides Bush II and Obama. I'd rather live in a pre-9/11 America. So please next time someone criticizes Obama, don't automatically assume that they think Bush was the greatest president.
