Trouble in a lot of ways
Hello all--- Dear Lord I need your help. I'm having a very tough week. I'm usually upbeat and positive and when I'm not, I have strong supporting family/friends to help me but they are not helping this week. My parents said some hurtful things on Tuesday. My Dad apologized yesterday. I called my Mom and she didn't answer and I was going to forgive her and I know I should honor my parents but still, her words were hurtful. My girlfriend knows that I'm having a difficult week and she's trying to be very supportive...but she feels like if I'm having a bad week that means she's not being a good girlfriend. Her feeling that way is making me feel worse. 10x worse. Yesterday I felt so bad I give into the sin of masturbation, a sin that is my personal cross and has been tormenting me lately. As a distraction, instead of praying I made a bad decision last night and gambled away some money I could have used for the poor or my credit card. I feel so lowly and broken right now I want to just scream and cry. I feel abandoned...my Mom who I call every single day at least once, often twice, has not spoken with me and my girlfriend feels (I have no idea what she feels). I feel like Jesus did being abandoned except I'm burdened by the weight of making bad decisions and sin. Help me Jesus.

Re: Trouble in a lot of ways
Father Almighty, I pray for ACanthony. Please ease his suffering. I pray that he is lead back to You in the sacrament of reconciliation. May he get the support he needs. And me he truly appreciate the love and support of his girlfriend. I also pray for ACnthony's girlfriend that she may know and feel the love and appreciation ACanthony has for her. AMEN.

Re: Trouble in a lot of ways
I do have a devotion to the Blessed Mother with the Rosary but in the last few days I have not prayed it Which is probably why I am feeling scattered.

Re: Trouble in a lot of ways
Lord, may ACanthony take up his devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary again and ask her for help. She will know how to help ACanthony, and will ease his pain. May he find strength and healing in the Sacrament of Penance and in the Euucharist. May he never cease praying and keep away from idleness and all occassions of sin. May he bounce back and return to his normal life of prayer and good works. May he find help in a good priest who can support him and help him to quit self-abusing himself. May you grant him strength, peace, fortitude and the deepst faith. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer.

Re: Trouble in a lot of ways
Prayer "Everyday I need you Lord..."
Every day I need You Lord
But this day especially,
I need some extra strength
To face what ever is to be.
This day more than any day
I need to feel You near,
To fortify my courage
And to overcome my fear.
By myself, I cannot meet
The challenge of the hour,
There are times when humans help,
But we need a higher power
To assist us bear what must be borne,
and so dear Lord, I pray -
Hold on to my trembling hand
And be near me today.
Amen.
Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen
