We have not been doing the job we have been called to do. This whole Fortnight of Freedom thing really bugged me because the Bishops talked about religious freedom, but they never addressed the issues, such as contraception, abortion and homosexuality. Talk about freedom all you want, but if you don't address the evil in our society, just how many souls are you going to save? When Humanae Vitae was given to the world, thousands of priests and far too many bishops did not support it, some gonig so far as to say that people were allowed to disagree with it. Then we wonder why 98% of all Catholic women have used contraception at one or another? Why did the head of a Rosary Society tell me that people can't be blamed for using artificial contraception? We can't blame the Protestants for that.
When we stand before Christ and he asks why the saving message of the Gospel was not forcefully presented to the world, we won't be able to point the finger at other religions and say it was their fault. As goes the Catholic Church, the ark of Salvation, so goes the world. Is it just coincidence that when the church was strong and respected in society that morality was strong?
God bless the Holy Father as he attempts to stand strong in the face of all opposition, much of which comes from within from members of the Catholic Church.

I agree completely. It seems we are missing the chance to instruct the nation, and cafeteria catholics,
WHY this HHS mandate is wrong besides that it is unconstitutional.
As for Glenn Beck, yes, please come home and lets all pray for his reversion. As for the "Traditional"/"Orthodox"/"Conservative" labels, we on this forum know where the difference lies but that difference would be lost among
most of the non-catholic Christian viewers. So, is it really worth harping about?
Who is to say that the Holy Spirit is not working through Pope Benedict XVI to confirm Orthodox cardinals? (I heard speculation on another site that one possible choice would be Cardinal Burke, he would be the 1st from this hemisphere..and awesome!)
Lastly, we need to support Pope Benedict XVI as much as possible.
