When & why did Christians begin praying to Saints?
I'm a Catholic convert (formerly Baptist). I fully believe everything the Church teaches. I pray to Saints, pray the rosary, etc. It's really made my life full.
My issue is that friends or families don't understand why Catholics pray to Saints because they don't read about it in the Bible. I don't know how to properly clarify this for them. My mother thinks I'm practicing sorcery.
