Prayers to overcome fear of the government
Hi,
I notice that myself and a lot of other people, friends, family, etc. are very petrified of this government. There are good reasons for this fear existing, but it is becoming debilitating. I want to ask for prayers for us to overcome this fear, because where there is fear, there is not love. We should not be afraid of our government, and as long as we are paranoid and petrified of the government, we cannot act to change it. We own this government as citizens. We need to have more confidence in ourselves and our power of citizenship. I perhaps suggest St. Thomas More as a possible patron. Maybe St. Jude, because terror is a very hard thing to overcome with a litany of abuses by a government like ours of our liberties. A lot of people feel desperate and hopeless about the situation. But whatever we pray for, please pray for my family and friends and myself to stop letting corruption make us afraid, when we have the power of Christ and His Church to protect us and guide us.
